Marine Corps League

April 12, 2004 Meeting minutes:

• The G. H. Vaughn Detachment met on Monday, April 12, 2004 and had a Semper Fi supper at the Ryan's Family Steak House in Columbus, MS.
  
• Call to order by Commandant, Lonnie Green.
• Commandant led in the pledge of allegiance.
• Chaplain Bobby Price led in prayer.
• 11 members in attendance:  Charles Adkins, Charles Arndt, William Blake, Wendell Chadwick, Terry Cole, Lonnie Green, Bobby Price, Tommy Redus, Charles Staten, Jerry Thompson, and Don Cassell(new member).  
• Received letter from Quantico approving our participation in the Toys for Tots drive for 2004.
• Certificate of  Appreciation was given to Charlie and Margaret Adkins for Coordinating the detachments involvement with the Toys for Tots drive for 2003.
• The question was brought up 'Devil Dogs?  What is that about?'.
• Meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm
